Old people at the coffee table
Another sketch inspired by photos from newspapers and magazines.
I have a folder of clippings that I collect continuously for this purpose (I really don't like drawing people from life. Then I always suffer from annoying stage fright).
I made these sketches when my wife worked in a care center for the elderly.
I gave her a photocopy on cardboard and they framed it to hang in the old people's hallway.
The original has been hanging in our kitchen ever since. As you can see,
daylight has already discolored the drawing paper considerably...
